About Me

ON MY PATH

My creative pursuits began in childhood with action figures, Colorforms, and Hot Wheels cars. Playing with these small diversions led to my curiosity of picture-making and design.

My formal training began at Virginia Commonwealth University, where I graduated in 1992 with a BFA in Communication Arts & Design, and again in 2003 with a BFA in Art Education. I also studied drawing and painting at the Art Students League in New York City.

I am currently represented by Glavé Kocen Gallery in Richmond, Virginia and draw and paint in my downtown RVA studio. I work on a variety of projects from portrait commissions, magazine illustrations and gallery exhibitions. I also periodically work at Virginia Living Magazine as a Creative Services Assistant.
